Quotes and bookings

How do I get a quote?

Send the collection and delivery addresses, a description or photographs of the items, approximate quantity, preferred date and access details. We will discuss the job and provide a free, no-obligation quotation.

How are prices calculated?

Pricing depends on the service, distance, goods or waste, team size, access, time and any additional requirements. We will explain the pricing in your quote, including any waiting time or ferry arrangements where applicable.

Can I book a one-off job?

Yes. One-off collections, deliveries, removals and clearance jobs are welcome. Scheduled and recurring work can also be discussed.

Do you offer same-day or out-of-hours services?

Same-day and short-notice work is subject to availability. Early mornings, evenings and weekends can be discussed according to the service and schedule.

Can I change a booked date?

Can I send photographs for a quotation?

Yes. Photographs help us assess furniture, removal loads, waste and other items. Send them with the addresses, preferred date and any useful dimensions.

Coverage, access and protection

Where do you operate?

We work across Northern Ireland. Depending on the service, we can also arrange transport between Northern Ireland, Great Britain, the Republic of Ireland and European destinations. Check the relevant service page or contact us with the route.

Do I need to load the vehicle?

Our team handles the agreed loading and unloading for removals, collections and deliveries. Pallet loading and unloading arrangements must be discussed separately and confirmed at both sites before booking.

What if there are stairs or difficult access?

Tell us about stairs, lifts, narrow doors, long carries and parking restrictions when requesting your quote. We can work around difficult access where reasonably possible, with the team and handling assessed in advance.

Are goods insured during transport?

Bridgepoint has Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurance. Policy terms and circumstances apply, so please discuss specific requirements and any high-value items before booking.

How do you protect furniture?

We use suitable blankets, wrapping, mattress covers, tape and securing equipment according to the items and journey. Furniture is loaded and secured appropriately for transport.

Can you move heavy or awkward items?

Suitable heavy items can be discussed. Give us the size, weight and access details so the team, vehicle and handling can be assessed before booking.

House removals

Can you move a whole house or just a few rooms?

Yes. We handle full house removals, part moves, selected rooms, flats and apartments. The transport is planned around what you need moved.

Do you provide packing or storage facilities?

Yes. Our packing service covers full houses, selected rooms and fragile items alongside a Bridgepoint removal. Our managed storage service includes collection, protection, storage and return delivery. Packing is not available as a standalone service with another removal company, and we do not offer unpacking.

Can you dismantle and reassemble furniture?

Suitable furniture can be dismantled for transport and reassembled at the destination where required and agreed. Include this in your enquiry so the time and handling can be planned.

Can you relocate an office, shop or warehouse?

We can move suitable furniture, IT equipment, stock, shelving, pallets and other business contents. Describe any heavy or awkward equipment so the vehicle and handling can be assessed.

Can you move a business outside opening hours?

Evening and weekend commercial moves can be discussed to help reduce disruption, subject to availability. Tell us your handover and opening requirements.

Man and van

What is a man and van service?

It is a moving and transport service for smaller loads, single items, collections and deliveries. Bridgepoint supplies the vehicle and moving team, with the agreed loading, transport and unloading.

Can I book one or two people?

Yes. We arrange the number of people according to the load, weight and access. You do not need to arrange extra lifting assistance yourself.

Furniture and appliance transport

Can you collect from Facebook Marketplace or a private seller?

Yes. We can collect suitable furniture and appliances from a private seller and deliver to another address. Agree the purchase and collection availability with the seller, then share the details with us.

Can you collect an IKEA, Argos or other retail order?

Suitable retailer collections can be arranged, subject to the store releasing the goods for collection. Give us the collection reference, item details, agreed time and delivery address.

Can you remove an old item when delivering a replacement?

This may be arranged where suitable. Tell us about the old item before booking so waste removal requirements and any additional cost can be included in the quotation.

Student moves

Can you move a few boxes or a student bedroom?

Yes. We can move small student loads, boxes, bags, a mattress, desk and other suitable furniture between home, accommodation and storage. We also offer managed student storage with collection and return delivery.

Can parents arrange a student move?

Yes. Parents are welcome to discuss the move and arrange the quotation with us. We provide student moves across Northern Ireland and between Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.

Can you move student belongings to England, Scotland or Wales?

Yes. Student moves between Northern Ireland and Great Britain can be arranged, with a ferry crossing included in the quotation where required.

Overseas and cross-channel removals

Do you arrange the ferry crossing?

Where a crossing is required, we can arrange the appropriate ferry and include it in your quotation. The route and moving dates are discussed before booking.

Do you provide European removals?

European transport and removals are available on request. Send the addresses, goods and preferred dates so the journey and requirements can be assessed.

Can you help with customs paperwork?

Where requirements apply, we can arrange the relevant paperwork and discuss additional requirements before the move. What is needed depends on your route, goods and circumstances.

Courier and logistics services

Do you deliver legal documents?

We provide collection and direct delivery of suitable legal documents and professional paperwork. Discuss the recipient, handover instructions and any deadline before booking.

What is a wait-and-return courier?

We collect and deliver an item or document, wait while the agreed action is completed, then return it to the original or another agreed address. Waiting time is considered in the quote.

Can you provide proof of delivery?

Delivery confirmation, signatures, photographs, delivery-time confirmation or tracking can be discussed according to the job. Let us know what is required before booking.

Business support and transport

Can you provide regular deliveries and stock transfers?

Yes. Scheduled routes, recurring collections, customer deliveries, stock transfers and multi-drop work can be discussed around your business requirements.

Can you help when our delivery vans are busy?

We can provide overflow capacity when your vehicles or drivers are unavailable or fully booked. One-off support and ongoing arrangements can both be discussed.

Pallet delivery

Can you move a single pallet or a non-standard size?

Single, multiple and non-standard pallets can be discussed, subject to loaded dimensions, weight, goods and vehicle capacity. Send accurate measurements when requesting your quote.

Do you provide loading equipment?

We have manual pallet trucks for suitable movements and can plan around a forklift available on site. All loading, unloading and vehicle equipment must be agreed in advance. Do not assume every vehicle has a forklift or tail lift.

Can you transport pallets outside Northern Ireland?

We can discuss pallet collections and deliveries across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Share the full route and goods details so the arrangements can be assessed.

Event transport and logistics

What events do you support?

We transport suitable equipment and materials for festivals, live music, theatre, film and TV productions, exhibitions, conferences, markets, community events and private events.

Can you deliver, help position items and collect afterwards?

We can collect, transport and unload the agreed goods. Where requested and agreed, we can help move suitable items into the venue and position them as directed by the event organiser. Post-event collection and out-of-hours timings can be discussed.

Can you support recurring events?

Yes. We can discuss ongoing transport for organisers, suppliers and traders attending regular markets, exhibitions or other recurring events.

Waste removal

What waste and clearance work can you help with?

We can discuss suitable household waste, furniture, appliances, house clearances, garages, sheds, garden waste, renovation materials and commercial contents. Describe the type and quantity so acceptance and handling can be confirmed.

Are you a registered waste carrier?

Yes. Bridgepoint Transport & Distribution is a registered waste carrier, with evidence available on request.

Will I receive waste transfer documentation?

We provide appropriate waste transfer documentation for our completed waste removal jobs, including a waste transfer note on collection.
